My name is Steven White and I am a professional freelance photographer based in Bedlington, Northumberland. Covering the North East of England.
Having taken a firm interest in photography many years ago, I first started with Motorsport photography and after several years covering both British Touring Cars (BTCC) and British Superbikes (BSB) I decided to look at other aspects of photography. I’ve always had a keen interest in football and after doing some press running work with Newcastle United and after watching the photographers work I found myself wanting to look further into football photography and decided to put the two interests together.
After looking into what was needed to I started to cover games local in early 2011 with Whitley Bay FC and has taken me to places and levels I could only have dreamt of. Since my days at Whitley Bay which are remembered fondly I have gone up through the leagues and now hold a DataCo license and cover Premier League games on a weekly basis with Newcastle United and Sunderland. This has led to various trips around the country and has also included publications in the National press both online and in print.
Aswell as football photography I also have a keen passion in event photography; this can be anything from a party or celebration to a corporate function. I find a real satisfaction in capturing important moments that make memories last forever.
Every job is different and as such I work with clients to fit individual needs and gain the results clients require. I find it very rewarding seeing clients with a product that they are happy with. I always take pride in my work and always appreciate any form of feedback given. Seeing pictures being used and looking at reactions to pictures I have taken is what gives a huge satisfaction.
This website is an online portfolio to display the sport and event photographs that had been captured in the time I have travelled the country as a freelance photographer.
